NEW FROM 27th FEBRUARY 2019.

WE MOVE TO A NEW SPACE.... We go to the "THE WINCH" at 21 Winchester Road.  (Next door to the Commun ity Cen tre.  We will be in the Mandelson Room on the first floor.  WEhern you arrive, sign in with your name at the reception desk then make your way up to the first floor.  You turn left left at the top of ther sdtairs and you will be in the entry to the Mandelson Room where there are toilets where you can change.  Bring all your belongings into the room.

On the last Wednesday of each month we mix MOVEMENT and WRITING...so far it has led to some amazing "Free" writing  even in 40 minutes.  This base for this form of writing is very similar to that which we have in our movement work:  we write without trying to be correct; just letting the words come and letting go of our thoughts of getting"it" right.  Come and join us if you would like to experience this.

I hope to arrange a workshop in the Autumn for those who would like to spend a little more time mixing/weaving movement and writing.  Date coming along in mid summer 2019.

For all the other Wednesdays in a month we have a gentle meditative WEEKLY class for older people, AND OTHERS who would like to dance in the daytime.  For those who need low impact movement there is no pressure to do more than you can.......there is no need for any dance/physical experience, nor do you need a any standard of fitness, and there will be chairs to rest on or dance from.  Whatever movement you can make is welcome.  Beginners welcome. Wheelchair access.

The class is now longer so that there is time to be able to relax/meditate as well as dance without the rush of fitting everything into an hour.  It will also give us time to talk without looking at the clock....I should perhaps let you know that we start slowly and have a slow and meditative track after approx 35 minutes leaving enough time to rest and then begin again!

We move, we laugh, we give our bodies attention; we become aware of our possibilities and our limitations. We can sit or lie on the floor and we can dance. If you love to sway to a beat and haven't got enough room in your kitchen - come and join us and move on a beautiful floor in the company of others who want to let their feet dance. Gay has taught Conscious dance since 2001.   Elements of 5 Rthythms and Open Floor have inspired Gay to offer you a dance of many colours, moods, connection and being in a congenial group.  We often go to the Centre Cafe upstairs after the class to revive with a cup of tea!
